This pair 4 3/8" by 2 7/8" (11.2 x 7.3 cm) (sits 1 3/4" tall) features knobs and is quite large for a turtle brooch, the original is in a museum in Moscow.

Middle Viking period, late 9th C. to 2nd half of the 10th C.
