Saxon Buckle with Face - U-58

A Buckle from the Anglo-Saxon Cemetery at the parish of Snape, in East Angelia.  It shows the face of a beast.  Excavations have been done at the site from 1824 until 1992, so this site has been long know as a source of Anglo-Saxon material! 1" x 1 13/16", 2.7 x 4.7 cm, will easily fit a 1/2" (1.4cm) strap through the opening, with a 7/8" (2.3 cm) strap attachment
