Vendel Circle Turtle Brooches - TB26

Based on a piece from the late Vendel or very early Viking times, this style of brooch was worn until the 2nd half of the 9th Century. Turtle brooches like these were worn as jewelry on Scandinavian women's apron dresses.

Cast in bronze, these brooches are also available with a silver-plated or blackened silver-plated finish. They use steel pins for strength.

Comes as a pair of brooches, each measuring 3" by 2" (7.8 cm by 5.1 cm).
