Viking 3-1/2" Trefoil Brooch - W57

This Viking trefoil brooch closely follows the design of an original piece found with a hoard of Arabic coins in Herastad, Scania in Sweden. They were used as dress closures on the underdresses of Viking women's apron dresses. Sometimes, necklaces were hung from the trefoil brooches as well as the turtle brooches.

3-1/2" (9.2 cm) wide, this is the largest trefoil brooch we offer.
