Viking Floral Turtle Brooches - TB07

This pair of turtle brooches are based on a Viking find from Snasen, Nord-Trondelag, Norway (Oslo C.755) dating from the late 8th century to second half of the 10th century. Turtle brooches were worn as jewelry on Viking women's apron dresses.

Cast in bronze, these brooches are also available with a silver-plated or blackened silver-plated finish. These brooches have steel pins for strength.

Comes as a pair of brooches, each measuring 3-5/8" by 2-3/8" (9.3 by 6 cm) and sitting 5/8" (1.5 cm) tall.
