Frankish Square Bow Brooch - TB29

This bow brooch is based on Frankish and Saxon design elements from 6th Century Early Medieval originals at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Bow brooches were worn by Germanic peoples like the Goths, Franks, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings and were influenced by Roman fibulae brooches.

Cast in bronze, this piece is also available with a silver-plated or blackened silver-plated finish. This brooch has a steel pin for strength.

Measures 4-1/2" by 2" (11.5 cm by 5.1 cm)
