Saxon Red Enamel Brooches - SB03

Red enamel simulates fine garnets in this pair of Anglo-Saxon-style brooches, inspired by a 6th Century piece found in Horton, Oxfordshire, England. Saxon women would use a pair of brooches like these to fasten their gowns at the shoulders.

Cast in bronze, this piece is also available with a silver-plated or blackened silver-plated finish. The brooch pin is steel for extra strength.

Pair of brooches: 1-3/4" (4.4 cm) diameter
